How to Apply

Prospective students that would like to apply for the BIS program should follow the steps below. Attend a BIS Information Session <ul> <li>Students interested in the BIS Program must attend an <a href="../../infosessions">information session</a>. You may attend an information session before applying to Mason, however, your BIS application will only be considered after admission to the university.</li> </ul> Meet with an Academic Advisor <ul> <li>After attending an information session, please <a href="../../contact">schedule an appointment</a> to discuss your academic interests and goals with one of our academic advisors.</li> </ul> Apply to Mason <ul> <li>Follow the instructions contained in the <a href="http://admissions.gmu.edu/transfer/">Undergraduate Transfer admission application</a>.  You must enter "Individualized Study" as your academic program/major of interest on the application.  </li> <li>Please make sure you forward any official transcripts to the <a href="http://admissions.gmu.edu/">Office of Admissions</a> (see address below), as stated in the application. DO NOT forward transcripts to the BIS office, this will delay your university acceptance decision. <ul> <li>Office of Admissions 4400 University Drive, MSN 3A4 Fairfax, VA 22030 </li> </ul> </li> </ul> Submit a BIS Program Application <ul> <li>It is encouraged that you submit your BIS program application as soon as you have submitted your Mason application.  Once you have been admitted to the university, your application to the BIS program can be considered for acceptance. </li> <li>You can find the BIS program application <a href="../../system/file_attachments/94/original/FillinApplication_002.pdf">here</a>.  Applications may be submitted via <a href="mailto:bis@gmu.edu">email</a>, fax or regular mail to the <a href="http://bis.gmu.edu/contact">BIS office</a>.</li> </ul> 3
