Students interested in the BIS Program must attend an information session. You may attend an information session before applying to George Mason University, although, your BIS application will only be considered after admission to Mason. Once you have attended an information session, please call(703) 993-4556 to schedule an appointment with a BIS advisor
Follow the instructions contained in the Undergraduate Admission Application. Please make sure you forward any official transcripts to the Office of Admissions, as stated in the application. Forwarding them to the BIS office will delay your acceptance decision. You must enter "Individualized Study", BIS as your academic major on the application. This will also schedule you into advising times with BIS advisors during the Orientation Session.
All students interested in Fall 2007 admission should apply on-line by April 1.
Once you have been admitted to the university, your application to the BIS program can be considered for acceptance. Admission to BIS is required to register for BIS 300.
BIS Application deadlines: If you wish to enroll in BIS 300 that semester, your application Must be submitted NO LATER THAN:
You must attend an orientation session if this is your first semester at Mason. You cannot register for classes until you have attended an orientation session.
(Only open to pre-BIS and BIS majors)
BIS 300 is controlled enrollment. You must be admitted to the BIS program to be eligible to take BIS 300.
